Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Data Engineer to enhance our data capabilities in the financial services domain. You will design, develop, and manage data platforms, focusing on reliable, scalable solutions and advanced analytics for financial data.

You will work with a team on data pipelines, cloud environments, and BI tool integrations, applying modern CI/CD practices and agile methodologies to deliver impactful insights and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data engineering applications.
• Minimum 4 years in data engineering, with at least 3 years in financial services.
• Proven leadership of data engineering projects with team management.
• Expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines for financial analytics.
• Proficient in data pipeline tools (Apache Flink or Apache Spark) and Airflow; strong SQL; experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiar with integrating BI tools (Tableau, Mode, Looker) and using REST and streaming protocols (Kafka).
• Strong JVM language skills (Java, Kotlin, Scala).
• Experience managing data quality, privacy, and sovereignty per financial standards.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring in production.
• Self-motivated with ownership, growth mindset, and strong communication.
