Job summary

Zenika in Singapore is seeking a Data Engineer Consultant to design and implement scalable data platforms for clients, with hands-on work on AWS, Databricks, PySpark, Python, and SQL. You will lead the development of enterprise-scale data architectures and real-time pipelines while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will optimize data transformations, ensure security and cost-efficiency, and integrate data flows across services like Glue, Redshift, S3,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data engineering experience, preferably on AWS-native platforms.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time streaming architectures.
• Hands-on Databricks, PySpark, Python, and SQL for large-scale transformations.
• Knowledge of data warehouse design (Redshift/Snowflake) and governance.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and version control (GitLab/GitHub).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Data Engineering; Master’s preferred; relevant certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-scale data architectures including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time pipelines.
• Develop and maintain high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines processing large volumes of data.
• Implement and optimize data transformations in Databricks using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Collaborate and mentor junior engineers; review code and promote best practices.
• Integrate and automate data flows using AWS services and real-time tools like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of data ops.
