Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is hiring a Data Engineer in Singapore to design, build, and optimize data pipelines across multiple sources. You will implement data quality checks, govern data and algorithms, and collaborate with business users to deliver dashboards and insights.

The role requires 5–6 years in data engineering with Azure and Databricks, strong Python (PySpark) and SQL skills, and familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI. This is a perm position based at Raffles Place in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or related field.
• 5–6 years in data management, data integration, modelling or related areas.
• 4+ years designing data architectures in Azure and Databricks.
• Strong Python (PySpark) and SQL; Java/Scala a plus.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; Oracle familiarity preferred.
• Familiar with Azure DevOps, Databricks, and data catalogue tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines sourcing data from multiple systems.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, cleansing, and enrichment.
• Transform data and manage data models, ensuring security governance.
• Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with data leads and business users on dashboards and reports.
• Support AI/ML model deployment and feature engineering in the platform.
