Job Title: Data Engineer

Job Description

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable data pipelines and data system architecture.

• Build, optimize, and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest data from a wide range of structured and unstructured data sources using Talend.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective data engineering solutions.

• Support the development and deployment of data-driven applications that deliver actionable insights.

• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with a focus on strategic testing processes to ensure solutions meet business standards and specifications.

• Identify, design, and implement process improvements, including automation of manual processes, optimization of data delivery, and data cleansing/transformation.

• Collaborate independently with multiple stakeholders to drive key initiatives and project delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data solutions, or analytics functions.

• Strong experience with traditional structured databases such as Oracle, including advanced SQL and PL/SQL.

• Proven expertise in handling structured and unstructured data, along with modern data transformation tools such as DBT.

• Hands-on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, including Hive, Impala, HDFS, Spark, Scala, and HBase.

• Experience working with real-time and streaming data platforms such as Kafka or similar technologies.

• Hands-on experience in ETL development, automation, and job scheduling, using data integration tools such as Talend.

• Experience in risk management and project management is an added advantage.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
