As a Data Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team. Under the supervision of the Head of PMO, you will bring your expertise and cooperate closely with the other members of the Regional Company: Partnership coordinator, Legal Director, Legal Counsels, Partnership Managers, COO, CCO and CFO. You will also be required to interact directly with internal stakeholders based in France, Europe and the ASIA region.

Responsibilities

• Design, Develop and Optimize Data Pipelines: Maintain and develop our current data pipelines using Knime, Power Query and SQL.
• Manage Databases: Oversee the organization’s databases, ensuring they are optimized for performance and security and coordinate with the various database owners.
• Data Integration: Propose the integration of new data management technologies and software engineering tools to optimize the operational process of the department.
• Data Quality Assurance: Collaborate with all the data owners to implement processes that ensure data reliability, efficiency, and quality, including data cleaning and validation. Implement and maintain a robust Row-Level Security.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with all the department stakeholders (Operation, Legal and Finance) to understand their data needs and provide the necessary support for data-driven decision-making.
  • Coordinate with peers based in Dubai and Madrid to benchmark, support and deploy BI solutions.
  • Coordinate data collection from the ASIAN region Key Account managers to centralize and report to Thales Operating Units.
• Data Organisation and Information Communication: Create and maintain our current dynamic data report on Power BI.
• Data Evolution: Propose evolutions or new data reports to support evolving business needs and decision making.
• Documentation: Document the whole technical process developed.
• Perform additional duties as required to support the evolving needs and objectives of the department.

Requirements

Education and Technical Experience

• Master\'s Degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 3 years experience of Data Engineering/Analyst
• Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Qliksense, Tableau), preferably Power BI with at least 3 years’ experience with it.
• Experience in ETL: KNIME (mandatory minimum 1 year), Power Query, Talend
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Power Platform, Sharepoint, Cryptobox), Power Platform is highly desirable
• Proficiency in SQL, DAX, M, VBA, Python
• Strong understanding of database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Access) and RLS (access management)
• Proven experience in database migration.
