Qualifications

  • Minimum ITE or Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of working experience in a Data Centre environment.
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools, monitoring systems, and incident escalation processes.
  • Hands-on experience in cabling, power cycling, hot swap, tape management, and basic server/network troubleshooting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to work on 12-hour rotational shifts and be on standby as required.

Overview

We are seeking DC Operations Shift Technicians to join our team and support day-to-day data centre operations. This role involves working on a 12-hour rotational shift to ensure smooth operations, support incident management, and maintain high availability of data centre facilities and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily data centre operations including ticket management, infrastructure monitoring, and remote hands support.
  • Troubleshoot and manage incidents, escalating issues to internal teams or vendors when required.
  • Conduct periodic health checks and report anomalies in DC facilities, IT, and network systems.
  • Support equipment setup and relocation, including rack/stack, intra-rack cabling, power cycling, and related activities.
  • Escort and supervise vendors, contractors, and customers during visits, deliveries, and installations.
  • Execute planned and ad-hoc maintenance activities in compliance with SOPs/MOPs.
  • Document operational activities, update SOPs/EOPs, and ensure accurate shift handover reporting.
  • Participate in competency tests, audits, and operational reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, PPE requirements, and company code of conduct.
Requirements
