Job description

The Azure Data Architect will design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role involves defining data architecture strategies, ensuring compliance with best practices, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade data platforms with a strong focus on cloud governance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end data architecture leveraging Azure services (Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Databricks, etc.).
• Define data modeling standards and implement optimized data storage solutions.
• Develop strategies for data integration, migration, and transformation using Azure Data Factory and related tools.
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into architectural solutions.
• Optimize performance and cost efficiency of data solutions.
• Stay updated with Azure advancements and recommend improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in data architecture and solution design on Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services: Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hub, and Cosmos DB.
• Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Spark for data engineering tasks.
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred: Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect certification.

Experience:

• 8+ years in data engineering/architecture roles.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Azure data services.

Preferred Certifications & Tools:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Experience with Power BI, Azure Monitor, and Azure Security Center

Soft Skills:
