Job summary

APAR TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Data Analyst with strong financial and operational analytics experience to build and maintain data index systems, perform cost/ROI analysis, and provide data-driven insights for business planning and performance improvement.

Responsibilities include maintaining financial operation index systems, developing automated controls, conducting ROI analyses, and delivering dashboards using Excel and Tableau to inform cross-functional decision-making.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL with hands-on experience across Hive, Presto, and MySQL for data extraction and processing.
• SPSS for statistical analysis (e.g., factor analysis, cluster analysis, variance analysis).
• Advanced Excel and Tableau for data visualization and dashboard development.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial operation index systems, monitoring key indicators daily to identify issues and drive optimization.
• Support the design and upkeep of automated account-checking and financial control systems to reduce risk and capital losses.
• Perform cost analysis and revenue/cost breakdowns to support ROI improvement initiatives.
• Extract, consolidate, and analyse data from multiple sources using SQL across Hive, Presto, and MySQL environments, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Apply statistical analysis techniques using SPSS to support business diagnostics.
• Develop and maintain management reports, dashboards, and KPIs using Excel and Tableau to support business monitoring and decision-making.
• Partner with business, finance, and operational stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into actionable, data-driven recommendations.
• Support the improvement and automation of reporting and data analysis processes to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial operation index systems, monitoring key indicators daily to identify issues and drive optimization.
• Support the design and upkeep of automated account-checking and financial control systems to reduce risk and capital losses.
• Perform cost analysis and revenue/cost breakdowns to support ROI improvement initiatives.
• Extract, consolidate, and analyse data from multiple sources using SQL across Hive, Presto, and MySQL environments, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Apply statistical analysis techniques (e.g. principal component/factor analysis, cluster analysis, variance analysis, chi-square tests) using SPSS to support business diagnostics.
• Develop and maintain management reports, dashboards, and KPIs using Excel and Tableau to support business monitoring and decision-making.
• Partner with business, finance, and operational stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into actionable, data-driven recommendations.
• Support the improvement and automation of reporting and data analysis processes to reduce manual work and improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or financial/operational analytics role.
• Proven experience building or maintaining a financial operation index or performance-monitoring system.
• Proficient in SQL, with hands-on experience across Hive, Presto, and MySQL for data extraction and processing.
• Working knowledge of SPSS for statistical analysis (e.g. factor analysis, cluster analysis, variance analysis).
• Strong skills in Excel and Tableau for data visualisation and dashboard development.
• Experience in cost analysis, ROI analysis, or financial control/account-checking systems is required.
• Basic working knowledge of Python (NumPy, Pandas) for data processing is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with business, finance, and operations teams.
