Job summary

LOCKTON COMPANIES (SINGAPORE) PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a hands‑on AI & Data Lead to build and lead our regional AI & Data workstream within the Business Technology function. This builder‑leader role requires strong techno‑functional capability and the ability to drive initiatives from discovery through delivery in Singapore with periodic travel to regional offices.

You will partner with business leaders, design scalable data/AI solutions, and serve as the delivery lead across enterprise data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, data science, or related field required.
• Master’s degree and cloud/AI certifications preferred.
• 8–10 years in data engineering, analytics, and AI delivery with strong hands‑on tech depth.
• 2–4 years of Insurance & Broking domain experience.
• Proven experience with modern cloud data platforms (Databricks) and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Copilot/copilots, and AI/ML or agentic AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to identify, shape, and prioritize data, analytics, and AI opportunities across the region.
• Lead discovery, solution design, and delivery of enterprise data and AI initiatives end‑to‑end.
• Define and build data platform / data warehouse solutions, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
• Design and implement AI use cases, including copilots, automation, and agentic AI solutions aligned to business outcomes.
• Act as the primary subject matter expert and delivery lead with shared development/QA teams as needed.
• Collaborate with global IT and Digital teams to align regional initiatives with enterprise standards.
• Establish architecture, governance, and best practices for regional AI and data platforms.

Job Purpose:
A hands-on AI & Data Lead to build and lead our regional AI &Data workstream within the Business Technology function. This is a builder-leader role requiring strong techno-functional capability, someone who can independently drive initiatives from discovery through delivery, working directly with business stakeholders to define, design, and deliver scalable data and AI solutions. This is a direct, full-time role based in Singapore. This role requires periodic travel to other regional offices.

Key Tasks & Duties and Measurements:

• Partner with business leaders to identify, shape, and prioritize data, analytics, and AI opportunities across the region.
• Lead discovery, solution design, and delivery of enterprise data and AI initiatives end-to-end.
• Define and build data platform / data warehouse solutions, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
• Design and implement AI use cases, including copilots, automation, and agentic AI solutions aligned to business outcomes.
• Act as the primary subject matter expert and delivery lead, leveraging shared development and QA teams where required.
• Collaborate closely with global and international IT and Digital teams to align regional initiatives with enterprise architecture, platforms, standards, and strategic priorities.
• Establish architecture, standards, governance, and best practices for regional AI and data platforms.

• Adoption of AI and analytics solutions by business users

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field required
• Master’s degree and relevant cloud/data/AI certifications preferred.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, and AI solution delivery, with strong hands-on technical expertise. 2 to 4 years of experience in Insurance & Broking domain.
• Proven experience with modern cloud data platforms (such as Databricks), BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), and AI technologies to deliver scalable data, analytics, and AI solutions.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Copilot / copilots, and applied AI/ML or agentic AI solutions.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders, translate ambiguity into executable roadmaps, and independently deliver outcomes.
• Strong communication, consulting mindset, and ownership mentality.
• Strong experience in data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and validation techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships.
• Good Problem-solving skills with an innovative and proactive approach.
• Good communication, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Independent yet collaborative team contributor.
• Experience in cloud-native architectures, data product delivery, and working within global/matrixed organizations. Exposure to regulated industry environments and modern AI operations (MLOps/LLMOps) is advantageous.
