Job description
  • RAD Certificate in Dance Teaching (CDT) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong foundation in Classical Ballet (RAD syllabus knowledge preferred).
  • Versatility in other dance genres such as Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, or Hip Hop is a strong advantage.
  • Experience teaching younger children (ages 3–10) preferred.
  • Experience in choreography for performances and competitions.
  • Background in competition work — both as a dancer and choreographer — is an advantage.
  • Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans across different dance styles.
  • Patient, encouraging, and passionate about nurturing young dancers.
  • Good communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Willingness to support the school’s exams, performances, workshops, and events.
Responsibilities
  • Teach Ballet as the primary focus, while also leading/supporting classes in other genres (e.g., Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop).
  • Prepare students for RAD and CSTD examinations and guide them through the process confidently.
  • Develop creative and engaging choreography for school showcases, concerts, and competition teams.
  • Support competition dancers with training, coaching, and performance preparation.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the school’s philosophy of excellence and holistic development.
  • Assist with school events, workshops, and community outreach when needed.
