Job summary

ST Engineering Cyber Team in Singapore seeks an experienced software engineer with 6+ years in production C/C++ development to lead operational support, testing, and deployment of custom software. You will maintain documentation, manage change requests, and contribute to cybersecurity engineering initiatives.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to lead a small team; familiarity with .NET, Python, PowerShell, and UI programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in operational and support activities including case management, troubleshooting and onsite engineering support.
• Plan, coordinate and perform testing: regression, load, performance, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot servers and workstations in production and test environments.
• Maintain software documentation: test plan, test procedures, test report, maintenance manual, and user manual.
• Lead and assist in deployment of custom software.
• Manage and implement software change requests and provide admin/support for custom systems and releases.

Job Description:

• Lead and assist in operational and support activities including case management, troubleshooting and onsite engineering support.

• Lead and assist in maintaining software documentation. The documentation includes test plan, test procedures, test report, maintenance manual, and user manual.
• Lead and assist in deployment of custom software.
• Manage and implement software change requests.
• Provide administration and support services for custom systems and software releases. Example system administration tasks include file access control, user administration and change management on production and test environments.

Job Requirements:

• At least 6 years’ experience in development of production software in C/C++.
• Knowledge in Object Oriented Programming, Secure Coding, .NET programming, Python/PowerShell scripting and/or UI programming is preferred.
• Familiar with source code version control tools such as GIT.
• Strong interest in software development and engineering.
• Possess initiative and willingness to learn.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lead a small team
