Job summary

Military Security Department in Singapore is seeking a Cybersecurity Policy / Governance & Consultancy / Systems Management & Plans Officer within the Cyber Strategy and Governance Department (CSGD). You will strengthen cyber resilience of MINDEF/SAF's critical systems and guide secure digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CISA, Cloud Security, AI Security or equivalent are advantageous.
• Experience in cybersecurity governance, policy development, risk management, security architecture or systems management is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to balance security, operations and business considerations.
• Good written and verbal communication, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive team player capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement cybersecurity policies, standards and guidelines aligned with Whole-of-Government IM8 requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, compliance reviews and security evaluations to ensure systems meet regulatory and operational requirements.
• Provide cybersecurity consultancy on governance, security architecture and risk management to project teams and stakeholders.
• Translate cybersecurity policies into practical security requirements and implementation guidance.
• Develop cybersecurity strategies, defence plans, capability roadmaps and technology adoption plans.
• Perform security architecture reviews and capability gap assessments to strengthen cyber resilience.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to conceptualise, design and implement cybersecurity initiatives and enterprise security solutions.
• Provide technical oversight and operational management of critical cybersecurity systems and platforms.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and cybersecurity trends to strengthen organisational capabilities.
