Job summary

Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) seeks a senior cybersecurity leader to head cyber threat hunting initiatives for MHA and HTX. You will build and guide a specialist team, deliver proactive threat hunting and forensic readiness, and support critical decision making during peace and crisis times.

You will work with government partners to enhance protection of CIIs, develop threat models, and advance incident response capabilities in alignment with national security priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years in CTH/DFIR/SOC domain with 5+ years hands-on in cyber threat hunting, threat intel and DFIR.
• Professional cybersecurity qualifications such as ENCE, GCFA, GCIA, GREM, GCTI, GNFA preferred.
• Ability to provide strong technical guidance on investigation and technical assessment.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM/security analytics use-cases.
• Hands-on experience with digital forensics, threat intelligence, SIEM and malware analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of kill-chain processes, threat response, incident response, MITRE ATT&CK framework and incident management.
• Advanced understanding of Windows and Unix/Linux infrastructure.
• Situational awareness of latest cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Cyber Threat Hunting capabilities for HTX and MHA.
• Guide a team of cyber threat hunting experts to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop an in-house CTH capability to support DFIR during crises.
• Collaborate with government and industry partners on Threat Hunting activities.
• Develop threat management framework and threat modelling to inform security posture.
