Job summary

AAL is seeking a Cyber Security Support Officer to join our IT team in Singapore. This role is suitable for an early-career IT professional with an interest in cyber security, networking, and information protection.

You will assist with security monitoring, incident response, user support, access management, and compliance activities, including ISO/IEC 27001:2022 requirements, working closely with the Head of IT.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary studies in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Networking, or related discipline.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in networking and/or security technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft security tools listed above.
  • Understanding ISO/IEC 27001:2022 requirements.
  • Cyber security or network security certifications.
  • ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Internal Auditor certification.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse security systems to identify threats and suspicious activity.
  • Investigate and assist in resolving cyber security incidents and breaches.
  • Provide user support and promote security awareness among staff.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Maintain security policies, incident logs, and ISO/IEC 27001 compliance.

Job description

AAL is seeking a Cyber Security Support Officer to join our IT team in Singapore. This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional with an interest in cyber security, networking, and information security.

You will play a key role in protecting AAL's information systems and supporting cyber security initiatives across our global operations. Working closely with the Head of IT, you will assist with security monitoring, incident response, user support, access management, and compliance activities, including ISO 27001 requirements.

Please note, only candidates with permanent working rights in Singapore can be considered for the role.
Key Responsibilities
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
  • Monitor and analyse security systems to identify potential threats and suspicious activities.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving cyber security incidents and security breaches.
  • Escalate complex security issues to senior IT team members when required.
User Support & Security Awareness
  • Advise users on cyber security best practices and safe use of company systems.
  • Support the delivery of security awareness and training initiatives.
Access & Identity Management
  • Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Help ensure secure access to systems, applications, and company data.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain security policies, procedures, incident logs, and related documentation.
  • Support compliance activities and audit preparation.
  • Contribute to maintaining the company's ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification requirements.
About You
  • Tertiary studies in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Networking, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in networking and/or security technologies.
  • Strong interest in cyber security and information protection.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with users and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to follow procedures, troubleshoot issues, and seek practical solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • Microsoft Intune
    • Microsoft Defender
    • Microsoft Entra ID
    • Conditional Access
    • Microsoft 365 security administration tools
  • Understanding of information security principles and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 requirements.
  • Exposure to cyber security incident response activities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Cyber security or network security certifications.
  • ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Internal Auditor certification.
