Job summary

The Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies in Singapore is looking for candidates to conduct research on emerging security threats and design innovative security solutions for embedded devices. We seek individuals with backgrounds in Infocomm Security, Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics. Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of C/C++ are required, while familiarity with embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, and microcontrollers is a plus. Positions are available for both senior and entry-level applicants, but only Singapore Citizens will be considered.

Qualifications

• Background in Infocomm Security, Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics or related fields.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Creative, innovative, self-motivated and independent.
• Knowledge in C/C++, hardware hacking, RF communications; experience with embedded Linux, FreeRTOS and microcontrollers is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering, including schematics and components.

• Conduct research to gain in-depth understanding into emerging security threats in embedded systems and devices.
• Design, develop and implement innovative security solutions running on embedded devices (including device firmware and application software) to mitigate threats.

What we are looking for:

• Background in Infocomm Security, Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics or related fields.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Creative, innovative, self‑motivated and independent.
• Knowledge in C/C++, hardware hacking, RF communications, and experience working with embedded Linux, FreeRTOS and microcontrollers would be an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering, including schematics, components and interfaces.
• Senior and entry-level positions available.
• As CSIT is an agency under the Ministry of Defence (Singapore), only Singapore Citizens will be considered.
