Job summary

DSO National Laboratories is seeking a Computer Security Engineer to conduct research on threats, vulnerabilities, and risk in computer and networked systems. You will assess vulnerabilities and evaluate security on diverse platforms, including Windows and non-Windows environments, embedded systems, and cloud contexts.

Qualifications

• PhD, Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer & Communication Systems, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Forensics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Network Technology, Mathematics or related qualification
• Experience in one or more of these system internals such as Windows OS, non-Windows OS, mobile OS, embedded systems, SCADA Systems, SIEM technologies, cloud computing, honeypots and malware
• Passion for computer and network security
• Prior research experience will be advantageous

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will:
• Conduct research in the latest system security threats, vulnerabilities and risks
• Conduct research in detection and prevention of cyberattacks against computer-based and network-based systems
• Perform vulnerability assessments and security evaluations of systems
