Job summary

State Street Bank and Trust Company seeks a SOC Manager for its Cyber Defense Center in Singapore. You will lead 24/7 incident response, triage and containment efforts, mentor analysts, and collaborate with the Singapore SOC to strengthen defenses and playbooks.

The role requires extensive cyber security and IT operations management experience, with hands-on expertise in security tooling, malware analysis, and modern defense frameworks. On-site work in Singapore is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience leading 24/7 Cyber Security / IT operations.
• Experience managing a diverse, early-career team.
• Experience investigating and managing major/complex cyber incidents end-to-end.
• OS administration across Windows, Linux, and Mac.
• Malware analysis expertise.
• Knowledge of adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and industry frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Knowledge of IT architecture and operations (computing, network, storage, cloud).
• Strong working knowledge of security technologies (SIEM, EDR/EPP, AV, ID/PS, HIPS, web proxy/content filtering, AD, PKI, DNS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and lead the cyber incident response process for timely triage, containment, eradication, and recovery for high-severity incidents.
• Manage Analysts and Lead Analysts within the Singapore SOC team.
• Support building a high-performance cyber security culture.
• Collaborate with partner teams/management in the Singapore SOC ecosystem.
• Update incident response plans, playbooks, and procedures continuously.

Who are we looking for:

State Street seeks to recruit a SOC Manager for its Cyber Defense Center. The SOC Manager will help lead the triage, analysis, and response to cyber-attacks. Join us in evolving our response capabilities to protect State Street, its customers and partners from ever evolving and sophisticated threat actors. State Streets Cyber Fusion Center is responsible for detecting and responding to various cyber threats 24/7 365 days a year, that are directed towards the enterprise.

This role will be predominately on-site in State Street's office in Singapore.

What will you be responsible for:

• Maintaining and leading the cyber incident response process to ensure timely triage, analysis, containment, eradication and return to service for high severity or long running incidents

• Managing Analysts and Lead Analysts in Quincy who will work a Monday to Friday Shift predominately

• Support building a high-performance culture

• Partnering and handing off to a partner team/manager in the Singaporean SOC

• Continuously preparing for incidents by updating and maintaining incident response plans, playbooks and procedures

• Manage and participate in cyber related exercises such as tabletops and cyber ranges

• Measure the effectiveness and performance of the incident response process through KRI and KPI metrics

• Identify methods to continuously enhance the incident response process

• Acquiring and retaining cyber talent with a focus on development and training

• Train and Mentor SOC & other Fusion Center personnel

• Creating an environment which drives knowledge sharing with teams across the Fusion Center

• Help developing the 24/7 Fusion Center mindset and follow the sun model

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Masters in cyber security, Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant experience

• CISSP, CEH, OSCP, OSCE or GCIH or applicable certification in Security field

• 4+ years in a management position in Cyber Security or IT Operations

• Software development and/or scripting experience plus: Python, PowerShell, SQL etc.
