Job Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and service-oriented Customer Service Officer (Remittance) to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling inward and outward remittances, issuance of bank drafts and cashier’s orders, and performing various related operational support tasks. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy in processing financial transactions, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process inward and outward remittance transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Handle the issuance of Demand Drafts and Cashier’s Orders for account holders and internal customers.
  • Input FX Spot and Forward Contracts and manage Inward Clearing drafts.
  • Process foreign currency cheques for current, savings, and deposit accounts.
  • Input inward collection cheques received from Head Office, branches, or correspondent banks.
  • Support MAS reporting for remittance volume, including Demand Drafts, Cashier’s Orders, and Inward Collection Cheques Received (ICCR).
  • Process customers’ standing instructions in accordance with established timelines and procedures.
  • Provide funds reporting to the Treasury Department.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly operational reports and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in system enhancement projects and testing to support process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Degree holder, preferably in Banking, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in remittance operations or related banking functions.
  • Good understanding of banking operations, FX, and remittance procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and core banking systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A team player with a proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
