Job summary

A recreational resort in Singapore seeks a FULL-TIME LIFEGUARD to ensure swimmer safety, perform maintenance tasks, and uphold regulations. Job description
1) FULL‑TIME LIFEGUARD

Location: NSRCC Changi (10 Changi Coast Walk)

The Job:
  • Ensure the safety of all swimmers are not compromised by being vigilant about swimming activities at all times while on duty and enforce the regulations stipulated by the Singapore Sports Council.
  • Carry out simple repair and maintenance works; equipment conditioning (prevent defects and rust).
  • Check pH and chlorine levels are at the correct reading twice daily.
  • Ensure PSI levels are not built up too high; perform backwash when necessary.
  • Order sodium hypochlorite, first‑aid items and items for water test kit; ensure that first‑aid and lifesaving equipment are in good working condition.
  • Report potential safety defects of swimming pool facilities to Executive (Sea Sports & Recreation).
  • Prevent hazard in the pool by not allowing foreign objects in the pool brought by bathers and ensuring appropriate attire by pool users.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Secondary Two level education.
  • Bronze Medallion Certificate and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation Certificate holder.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a lifeguard.
  • Customer‑service oriented, extrovert, good communication and interpersonal skills, highly independent, great sense of responsibility.
  • Must be prepared to perform shift duties and work on weekends and public holidays.
Additional Information:
  • 5‑day work week (Mon to Sun).
  • Rotating shifts: 7:00 am to 4:15 pm / 11:15 am to 8:30 pm.
  • Monthly laundry allowance provided.

2) PART‑TIME LIFEGUARD

Location: NSRCC Changi (10 Changi Coast Walk)

The Job:
  • Ensure the safety of all swimmers is not compromised by being vigilant on swimming activities at all times while on duty.
  • Enforce Singapore Sports Council (SSC) rules and regulations and handle public inquiries & feedback.
  • Report potential safety defects of swimming pool facilities to Executive (Sea Sports & Recreation).
  • Prevent hazard in the pool by not allowing foreign objects in the pool brought by bathers and ensuring appropriate attire by pool users.
Requirements:
  • Must have at least passed Secondary Two level education with 2 years of working experience as a lifeguard.
  • Must possess Bronze Medallion Certificate, Lifesaving 1‑3 and valid Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
Additional Information:
  • Shift hours: 8:00 am to 3:00 pm / 1:30 pm to 8:30 pm / 8:00 am to 8:30 pm.
  • Double hourly rate for working on public holidays.
  • Overtime pay provided where applicable.
  • Staff transport provided at Tanah Merah MRT station.
3) FULL‑TIME MANAGER (BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT)

Location: NSRCC Changi (10 Changi Coast Walk)

The Job:
  • Conduct feasibility / profitability studies of the club’s commercial spaces through market research of competitors and benchmarks on rental costs, commercial trends, etc.
  • Source and convert leads to successful tenancies; propose tenancy terms to attract the most suitable tenants and follow up on all lease documents till completion.
  • Formulate and implement business models / strategies to maximise rental and the facilities / services within the club’s commercial portfolio.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma / Degree holders.
  • Preferably with 2 or more years of relevant experience in marketing and / or business development / leasing.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills; self‑motivator; must be resourceful and able to work independently.
Additional Information:
  • 3‑year contract (potential to be redeployed for other relevant positions after completion of contract).
  • 5‑day work week (Mon to Fri).
  • Working hours: 8:00 am to 5:15 pm OR 8:30 am to 5:45 pm.

4) FULL‑TIME CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER (MEMBERSHIP)

Location: NSRCC Changi (10 Changi Coast Walk)

The Job:
  • Handle membership enquiries via phone calls and emails on a daily basis.
  • Input and maintain up‑to‑date membership records, account status, members’ particulars and account service requests received from members into CMS on a daily basis.
  • Follow up and collect membership entrance fee due from new applications and / or membership renewals; call prospective members to close sales and remind expiring members to renew membership.
  • Activate and process new membership applications and / or membership renewals, including preparing the membership package upon entrance fee payment made by members on a daily basis.
  • Process members’ applications for suspension of membership due to medical reason, or absent membership due to overseas work posting, study, etc.
  • Process security refund and / or account credit balance to members upon membership expiry or resignation.
  • Stand in for and perform the duties at Membership Centre as and when necessary.
  • Any other ad‑hoc assignment / project that may be assigned by HOD / supervisor from time‑to‑time such as membership recruitment drive, Open House event, etc.
Requirements:
  • Min. GCE ‘O’ levels.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in customer service / administrative works / membership services.
  • Service and people oriented with an interest to work in country club environment and a good team player.
  • Candidates with more experience may be considered for Officer (Membership) position.

5) FULL‑TIME CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER (MAIN LOBBY)

Location: NSRCC Kranji (50 Neo Tiew Lane 3)

The Job:
  • Handling telephone calls, answering enquiries on the club’s facilities and functions.
  • Handling of the club’s programme applications and enquiries / facilities bookings.
  • Cashiering duties.
  • Membership services – collection of sub‑fees.
  • Administrative duties (e.g. safe‑keeping and proper recording of issuance of keys and administrative tasks as assigned by the Head of Department).
  • Administering lost and found items.
  • Recording of incoming cheques.
  • Assist in tender briefing, collection and recording of tender document and tender deposit.
Requirements:
  • Minimum GCE ‘N’ level with 1 year experience in similar field.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills & integrity.
  • Must be able to perform shift duties and work on weekends and public holidays.

6) FULL‑TIME COURSE MARSHAL (NSRCC KRANJI)

Location: NSRCC Kranji (50 Neo Tiew Lane 3)

The Job:
  • Marshalling the golf course to ensure everything is in order.
  • Checking the pace of play.
  • Collecting course tickets.
  • Ensuring all golfers play according to the scheduled time.
  • Recording their locker key number.
  • Activating course closure for inclement weather.
  • Ensuring all buggies are properly charged, clean and in good condition.
  • Ensuring sand bottles are filled with sand.
  • Ensuring proper control on issuance of locker keys.
  • Liaising with maintenance department on mechanical or electrical defects of buggies.
  • Liaising with technical department on replacement locker keys / locks.
  • Ensuring the correct golf bags are returned to the rightful golfers.
  • Ensuring golfers repair divots and ball marks on the course.
Requirements:
  • Possess secondary level education with preferably 1 year experience in relevant field.
  • Must be prepared to perform shift duties and work on weekends and public holidays.
Additional Information:
  • 5‑day work week (Mon to Sun).
  • Rotating shifts: 6:45 am to 3:30 pm / 6:45 am to 6:45 pm / 11:10 am to 7:55 pm.

7) FULL‑TIME CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER (ACCOMMODATION, SEALAND VILLA)

Location: Sealand Villa (326 Sealand Road)

The Job:
Daily Operations
  • Manage bookings, amendments and cancellations of villa bookings for Sealand Villa on a daily basis.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the check‑in reception, e.g., ensure seamless and smooth check‑in / out of guests.
  • Handle online / telephone / walk‑in enquiries regarding villa bookings and reservations.
  • Collect payment for villas rentals and facilities usage; tally amount collected from online payment against valid villa bookings.
  • Perform service recovery actions / waivers of charges to affected occupants if any incident occurs throughout their stay.
  • Daily submission of end‑of‑shift & end‑of‑day reporting and GL posting of villa transactions.
  • Follow‑up on lost and found items for all villas and within the clubhouse.
  • Monitoring of vehicle movement and vehicle registration.
  • Issue quotation for corporate bookings enquiries.
  • Raise billing requests as and when required.
  • Perform duty manager’s duties.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Stakeholder’s Communication
  • Provide guests with information such as rules and regulations, contact number they can call for assistance during their stay.
  • Engage members / guests in conversation and provide assistance as requested.
  • Handle members / guests’ problems and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Deal with incidents and update management on incidents’ follow‑up actions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum GCE ‘N’ level with at least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills and integrity.
  • Must be able to perform shift duties and work on weekends and public holidays.
