🔍 About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, customer-centric Customer Focus Officer (Freight) to be the key liaison between our customers and our freight operations team. If you thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment, have an eye for detail, and enjoy solving problems while supporting customers, this role is for you.

You’ll be responsible for managing freight inquiries, bookings, shipment updates, and ensuring timely, smooth cargo movement—working alongside internal teams, carriers, and external vendors. A strong grasp of shipping documentation and billing processes is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and calmly with customers.

💼 Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Support

  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding freight bookings, tracking, and general inquiries
  • Build strong relationships with clients by providing timely updates and proactive communication

Shipment Coordination

  • Work with operations teams, vendors, and carriers to ensure on-time pickup, transit, and delivery
  • Monitor shipments and provide real‑time status updates

Complaint Management

  • Handle customer concerns professionally, aiming for swift and effective resolution

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare, review, and manage documents such as MAWB, HAWB, DG Declarations, and bills of lading
  • Ensure all shipping documents comply with customs and regulatory requirements

Billing & Invoicing

  • Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies or adjustments

Sales Support

  • Assist the sales team with client follow‑ups, rate quotations, and post‑booking coordination

Recordkeeping & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate customer and shipment records for operational and audit purposes

Process Improvements

  • Suggest and support continuous improvement efforts across customer experience and operations
What We’re Looking For

Education & Background

  • Diploma, Degree, or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years in freight forwarding, logistics, or customer service, preferably in airfreight

Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of freight documentation and customs regulations
  • Hands‑on experience with billing and invoicing systems
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office; freight software experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize under pressure
  • Positive, team‑oriented mindset with a passion for customer service
🕐 Work Schedule & Benefits
  • 🔄 Rotating shifts (weekly):
    • 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
    • 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
    ✔️ Shift allowance provided for PM shift
  • 🏠 Rotating weekend duties (Sat & Sun): Assigned on a rotating basis among team members, approximately once a month.
