Job summary

A leading educational consultancy in Singapore seeks a Curriculum Developer to create and refine educational materials for primary and secondary levels. Candidates should hold a relevant degree, possess knowledge of the Singapore MOE syllabus, and have teaching experience or editorial qualifications. This role offers a renewable contract with a salary range of $2,500.00 - $3,300.00.

Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant fields preferred.
  • Experience with MOE syllabus for PSLE and O-Level is advantageous.
  • Editorial work and/or English teaching qualifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop quality written materials for enrichment programmes.
  • Plan lessons collaboratively with Curriculum Directors.
  • Research and prepare lesson materials aligning with teaching standards.
  • Support teachers in curriculum enactment and training.
  • Ensure quality through adherence to assurance processes.
  • Conduct administrative duties in curriculum management.

Skills

Good working knowledge of Singapore MOE education syllabus
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Experience in teaching Primary and Secondary school levels
Ability to use AI tools/applications

Job description
  • 5 weekdays (Mon- Fri)
  • Working Hour: 10.20am - 7.20pm
  • Salary: $2,500.00 - $3,300.00
  • Location: Tiong Bahru
  • 1 year renewable contract
Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and production of quality written materials for all enrichment programmes that meet company needs and timelines and which adhere to the company’s curriculum quality assurance framework.

This includes
  • Working within the overall curriculum design to ensure that learning outcomes for all the primary and secondary level(s) are strategically planned and well-articulated through appropriate learning and assessment activities;
  • Planning lessons collaboratively with Curriculum Directors, senior team members, and relevant departments to align with the company’s teaching and curriculum schedules for the academic year;
  • Researching, writing, revising, editing and preparing for print or online delivery, all lesson materials, including hands-on learning activities, for the assigned grade level(s), that align with the company’s teaching and learning model and all MOE requirements;
  • Supporting teacher enactment of the curriculum through the development of clear teacher reference notes and materials for each week’s lesson, working collaboratively with the teaching leadership team in documenting best practices for the classroom, and actively contributing to and participating in teacher trainings in the usage of any new or updated curriculum
  • Ensuring the quality of the curriculum through careful observance of quality assurance processes, which includes adhering to layout formats stipulated by the company, close editing for content accuracy and presentation, vetting and collating feedback from Curriculum Directors and teachers;
  • Conducting administrative and project management duties and obligations responsibly as part of overall curriculum development and management.
  • Researching and writing additional materials (such as blog posts, newsletters and e-resources) based on the company's needs
Qualifications
  • Possess a Degree, preferably in related fields of English, Law, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Communications
  • Good working knowledge of the current Singapore MOE education syllabus (PSLE and O-Level)
  • Experience in teaching Primary and Secondary school levels will be an added advantage.
  • Qualifications in editorial work and/or English teaching is an added bonus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and using AI tools/ applications. Should also be adept in learning new educational tools and software where necessary.
