Job summary

PAP Community Foundation in Singapore is seeking an early childhood educator to plan and implement curriculum, engage and assess children, and collaborate with families and the community to support holistic development.

The role requires 5 GCE O Level credits with English and a second language, plus ability to communicate in Malay/Tamil to assist Malay/Tamil-speaking parents. This position is onsite and involves caregiving and professional practice development.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 5 GCE O Level Credits with English at C6 and Second Language at B4.
• ECDA qualifications as required (if applicable).
• Create a secure and quality learning environment through fostering meaningful relationships with children.
• Holistic development through developmentally and culturally appropriate curriculum and nurturing relationships.
• Able to communicate in Malay/Tamil to handle queries from Malay/Tamil-speaking parents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate teaching, learning and caregiving activities aligned to curricula frameworks.
• Engage children meaningfully in accordance with the curriculum and pedagogical frameworks.
• Document children's learning and development.
• Build rapport with colleagues to foster positive workplace relations and continuity of care with families.
• Execute outreach activities to promote Centre programmes and collaborate with families and community stakeholders.
• Provide caregiving per standards and identify improvements in routines.
• Promote professional practice and participate in service quality improvement activities.
