The Courseware developer is responsible to design and develop all academic, leisure and license programs offered by the Academy, in accordance with the Policy and Procedures Manual, and in compliance with EduTrust, CPE and SSG frameworks on assignment base. The Curriculum Developer is responsible for carrying out the administrative functions and curriculum documentation that meets high quality standards and conforms to approved documentation templates. He/she is responsible for developing courseware for classroom and/or online delivery by maintaining quality compliance that meets SkillsFuture Singapore, EduTrust, and University Articulation requirements and support the smooth operations of the National Assessment Centre for Food & Beverage WSQ framework.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development / Updates
- Write clear, accurate, current and engaging course content, including scripts, training manuals, slides, lesson plan, and assessment plan with relevant assessment materials such as quizzes, in‑class assignments and other relevant assessment materials.
- Create or curate multimedia content (images, animations, video scripts), where applicable.
- Build courses in LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Articulate 360), where applicable.
- Create development timelines and milestones.
- Ensure on‑time delivery of course materials and final products with accuracy.
Quality Assurance and Accreditation
- Conduct the review of training material and assessment to ensure effectiveness, currency, relevancy and compliance with SSG and/or CPE.
- Prepare review papers with findings and actions for improvements, to be approved by Curriculum Manager for presentation to Academic Board.
- Adhere to SOP and Policy & Procedures Manual for matters relating to curriculum function.
- Ensure compliance is upheld, ensuring the validity and integrity of the business.
- Maintain and analyse records and track progress of curriculum documentation.
- Ensure the programme contents do not breach copyright regulations and are from reliable resources.
Digital Transformation
- Use data analytics to drive decisions on curriculum design and delivery.
- Propose innovative teaching technology and methods for craft courses.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably degree/diploma in Hospitality or Food & Beverage, Education or related fields
- Achieved certification in WSQ Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) or WSQ Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP).
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in a reputable Private Education Institution (PEI).
- Preferable to have project management experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong instructional design knowledge (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex topics.
- Experience with e-learning tools (Articulate, Captivate, Rise etc)
- Graphic or multimedia design skills (preferred).
- Familiar with current SSG Skills Framework (SFw) and the Technical Skills and Competency (TSCs), and/or updated on any future revision and/or updates.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in a reputed PEI at the same level or above.
