Job summary

Disney Cruise Line in Singapore is seeking a Communications Intern to support planning and execution of communication strategies across Southeast Asia, India and Greater China. This is an office-based role in our Singapore office, reporting to Manager, Communications.

You will assist with media monitoring, draft materials, research trends, and coordinate campaigns, events and ESR programs, while gaining exposure to internal, executive and public affairs initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or related field.
• Interest or knowledge of Disney brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic).
• Highly self-motivated and meticulous with a passion for communications.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced organization and work environment.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration.
• Self-starter needing minimal supervision and able to prioritize deadlines.
• Strategic thinker with good communications skills; able to propose ideas creatively.
• Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, video editing programs and Keynote.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Experience with media monitoring tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily media monitoring and reporting on trends relevant to Disney Cruise Line.
• Support with communications materials: press releases, talking points, speeches, etc.
• Analyse media coverage and present sentiment and share of voice reports.
• Support internal and executive engagement activities and media events.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and develop new concepts for communications efforts.
• Assist with ESR programs and speaking engagements with executives.
• Coordinate with vendors for invoicing and payments.
