What are your responsibilities?

  • Develop and oversee a credit risk management framework for the company.
  • Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of risk performance.
  • Evaluate risk for Asian suppliers and international buyers.
  • Enhance underwriting quality and efficiency using technology and alternative data.
  • Actively manage credit risk for a designated portfolio.
  • Assess risks and monitor counterparties.
  • Support business growth with risk mitigation strategies aligned with company policies.
  • Identify external data sources of other countries to improve models.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders like funding partners and insurers.
  • Ensure alignment with the risk framework for effective asset distribution.
  • Deliver comprehensive risk reports at portfolio and country levels.
  • Handle specific projects as needed.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.

What skills/qualifications will you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, statistics, math, computer science, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Over 7 years of credit underwriting experience in financial institutions or fintech, focusing on SMEs.
  • Preferred experience in cross-border trade finance, receivable finance, factoring, credit insurance, supply chain solutions, or SME coverage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and resilient under pressure.
  • Quick learner with a team-oriented mindset, adaptable to diverse cultures.
  • Ability to communicate in business English and Chinese is a plus.
