Position Title : Credit Analyst (Senior Associate) x 2 Positions

Overview

Our client is a leading international financial institution with a strong presence across the Asia-Pacific region. The firm provides a comprehensive range of financial services to corporate, institutional, and private clients.

As part of its Singapore office, the Credit Analyst will support the Relationship Management and Coverage teams in assessing and monitoring credit risks across a portfolio of local corporate clients. This role involves performing detailed financial analysis, preparing credit proposals, and ensuring compliance with internal credit standards and risk policies.

Key Responsibilities
Credit Analysis & Risk Assessment
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and product teams to gather relevant client and financial information.
  • Perform financial statement spreading and propose counterparty ratings in line with internal methodologies.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit proposals, highlighting key risks and mitigants to support informed credit decisions.
  • Conduct regular portfolio monitoring, including covenant tracking, risk alerts, and data integrity checks.
  • Stay updated on credit policies, risk frameworks, and rating methodologies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support Relationship Managers in credit-related processes and documentation.
  • Participate in client meetings, where relevant, to enhance understanding of business and credit risk.
  • Present credit proposals at internal credit committees when required.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the credit management function.
  • Provide ad-hoc portfolio analysis and reports as requested by management.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, corporate banking, or risk management.
Technical & Behavioral Skills
  • Strong analytical and financial interpretation skills.
  • Proficient in preparing and presenting structured credit analyses.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders and functions.
  • Detail-oriented, with sound judgment and a risk-aware mindset.
Products & Deal Exposure
  • Products cut across the Bank's full suite of Corporate & Investment Banking capabilities, and range from vanilla trade finance (like LCs, guarantees), FX, hedging lines, ISDA, etc to more complex syndicated / structured products.
  • Deal sizes range from 50m USD-200m USD typically and clients are all 1Bn or above in sales turnover.
