Responsibilities
- Operate crawler cranes to lift, position, and maneuver piling equipment
- Perform pre-start checks and daily inspections to ensure crane is in proper working condition
- Assist in setting up and relocating piling equipment
- Follow approved rigging and lifting procedures, interpreting load charts and lift plans
- Lift and place heavy materials like steel casings and reinforcement
- Follow all site safety protocols, especially in high-risk or congested work environments
- Ensure stability of crane setup on varying ground conditions
- Work closely with piling rig operators, riggers, and engineers to execute piling works as per the method statement and lift plan
Qualifications
- Valid Crawler Crane Operator License/Certification (e.g., NCCCO, CPCS, NPORS, or local equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating crawler cranes in piling or deep foundation projects
- Solid understanding of piling techniques and equipment used in foundation construction
- Familiar with ground pressure, rigging, lifting signals, and load chart interpretations
- Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., OSHA, LOLER, PUWER or local site safety regulations)
- Ability to operate cranes with high precision in tight or sensitive areas (e.g., near existing structures or in urban environments)
