Job summary

A leading hospitality firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced F&B Controller to oversee financial operations and inventory management. Responsibilities include daily audits of financials, managing stock levels, and ensuring product compliance with specifications. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Hospitality Management, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in upscale environments. Knowledge of HACCP is a plus. This role offers a competitive salary and a structured work week.

F&B Controller

  • 5 days, Mon- Fri from 9am-6pm
  • Salary: $5000 - $7000
  • Location: Esplanade
About the restaurant

Upscale chain for aged prime beef, seafood & other traditional steakhouse fare in a clubby space.

Job summary

This vital role significantly contributes to the accounting, purchasing and maintenance functions of the restaurant. These include daily audits of financials, weekly and month-end inventory for food and supplies, placing food and beverage orders with vendors, receiving of deliveries, organizing and rotating products and reconciling gross margin with sales audit. In addition, you will balance the restaurant bank accounts, make bank deposits, place service and maintenance calls and other duties as assigned.

Job scopes
  • Perform daily food count and purchases to manage stock level
  • Establish par/stock levels on all product
  • Practice competitive purchasing and bid records
  • Ensure that all food and beverage products meet company’s specification and guidelines
  • Ensure all perishable products are dated and properly stored
  • Ensure all invoices are logged daily
  • Ensure that all policies, procedures, systems and recipes are maintained
  • Perform daily audits of financials, including cash count, reconciliation of guests checks and balancing of restaurant bank accounts
  • Perform mid and month-end inventory count
  • Responsible for AR & AP functions of the restaurant
  • Responsible for monthly filing of withholding tax with IRAS
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Hospitality Management
  • At least 3 years experience in similar roles in upscale hospitality environment. Knowledge of HACCP an advantage.
  • Strong understanding in financial accountability and audits, cost controlling, inventory management, pricing and purchasing, and maintenance of high quality F&B products
