Overview of role

We are seeking an innovative and driven Cosmetic Scientist to lead our efforts in the development of 3D-printed cosmetic products. This role is pivotal in advancing our formulation and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in cosmetic science and 3D printing technology to create cutting-edge products that enhance consumer experience and efficacy in the areas of skin and hair care.

Your Team

You will be part of a dynamic team located in Singapore, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams including formulation scientists and manufacturing technologists and with external research institutes. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with both internal and external partners to drive innovation in cosmetic product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Development Projects: Spearhead the formulation and optimization of 3D‑printed cosmetic products, developing robust solutions that meet consumer needs
  • Conduct Research: Utilize advanced analytical methods (e.g., rheology) to evaluate product performance and stability, translating scientific insights into practical applications.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with technologists and manufacturing teams to streamline the production process, ensuring high‑quality output and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Communicate Findings: Present research findings at internal meetings and share recommendations.
  • Manage Risks: Identify potential challenges in formulation development and manufacturing processes, developing robust contingency plans to mitigate risks.
Job Qualifications
  • Education: Ph.D. in Cosmetic Science or related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in formulation development, particularly with 3D printing applications in cosmetics or skincare.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced analytical techniques, formulation chemistry, and familiarity with 3D printing technologies.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Problem‑Solving Abilities: Demonstrated critical thinking skills with a data‑driven approach to problem‑solving.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Chinese or other languages is a plus.
