About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Secretarial Manager to lead and manage the corporate secretarial function of our firm. The ideal candidate will oversee a portfolio of clients, ensure compliance with the Singapore Companies Act 1967, ACRA filing requirements, and other statutory obligations. This role requires a good understanding of corporate regulatory, leadership skills, and the ability to manage client relationships professionally and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Compliance & Advisory
- Oversee and ensure clients’ compliance of regulatory and statutory requirements under the Companies Act 1967, ACRA, and other relevant authorities.
- Oversee the supervision of staff, review work perform by subordinates to ensure the compliance of the regulatory and statutory requirements under the Companies Act 1967.
- Provides guidance to subordinates on the areas of the work involving judgement and complexity
- Coordinate preparation and lodgment of annual returns and other filings via BizFile+.
Client Relationship Management
- Manage a portfolio of local and international clients, acting as their key point of contact for corporate secretarial matters.
- Provide timely, accurate, and practical advice to clients on regulatory changes and compliance implications.
- Liaise with auditors, lawyers, tax advisors, and government agencies when required.
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of corporate secretarial associates and executives.
- Manage a full spectrum of corporate secretarial management of the department.
- Provide internal training and technical updates on regulatory and filing changes.
- Foster open communication within the team and inspire collaboration through active engagement.
Process & Quality Improvement
- Participate in providing input for implementation of efficient processes to enhance workflow, compliance monitoring and record management.
- Stay updated on legislative developments, corporate governance reforms, and ACRA guidelines.
- Contribute to digital transformation and automation initiatives in corporate compliance management.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- ICSA qualification, ACIS, SAICSA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Minimum 5 years of corporate secretarial experience in a professional services or corporate environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Good knowledge of the Singapore Companies Act, ACRA requirements.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in BizFile+ and basic presentation skills (training will be provided).
- Strong leadership, organisation, and client management skills.
