Job description

Senior Safety Officer / Safety Manager to support and drive HSE initiatives. The role will work closely with the Project Director, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and to promote a strong safety culture onsite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage HSE performance, ensuring alignment with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly site safety inspections; follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct and coordinate risk assessments, Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes.
  • Drive safety campaigns, toolbox meetings, induction training, and safety awareness programmes.
  • Prepare and submit safety documents, audit reports, incident reports, and MOM-related submissions.
  • Respond to incidents/near-misses and lead investigations with project teams.
  • Work closely with consultants, client representatives, and authorities during safety audits and inspections.
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Support continual improvement initiatives and champion proactive HSE practices on-site.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Workplace Safety & Health or relevant engineering discipline.
