Job description

Our client, a well-known Japanese company is currently looking for an Corporate Planning Manager(Japanese speaking).

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate planning initiatives including mid-term strategy, annual budget cycles, and forecasts across all operating companies.
• Partner with the CEO and business leaders to define and execute growth initiatives, including market entry, M&A, and new business models.
• Oversee group-wide financial performance monitoring, providing insights to drive profitability and efficiency.
• Standardise management accounting practices, KPIs and reporting formats across all entities.
• Manage corporate governance meetings (Board, Management, All-Hands) and prepare proposals for group-level decision making.
• Drive cross-company/global projects, including new entity establishment and expansion into new markets.
• Collaborate closely with Holdings in Japan and external parties on financial reporting, internal control, and IPO readiness.

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in Corporate Planning, Strategy or Finance.
• Proven track record in multinational or holding company structure.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Business proficiency in Japanese as this position is required to work with HQ and Japanese speaking external parties.
• Skilled in financial analysis, corporate strategy, and project management.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and change management skills.
