Job summary

ASM International seeks a Revenue Reporting Controller I to ensure accurate, compliant revenue reporting across its global business. You will partner with Finance, Global Sales, and Accounting to support revenue recognition and drive process improvements while contributing to the SAP S/4HANA transformation.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance Control, you will help manage deferred revenues, conduct reconciliations, and maintain documentation to comply with IFRS 15 and audit requirements,

Qualifications

  • CPA/ACCA or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance completed.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in revenue accounting, financial reporting, or controllership.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition requirements.
  • Experience with SAP S/4Hana.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different business functions.
  • Experience in semiconductor/high-technology manufacturing environments.
  • Experience driving ERP transformations or SAP S/4HANA implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Business partnering with Finance and Global Sales to report monthly A/R status and improve communications.
  • Analyze complex commercial deals to determine proper revenue recognition treatment.
  • Manage deferred revenues and balance sheet impacts.
  • Conduct revenue reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain documentation supporting revenue recognition policies and audit readiness.
  • Support timely monthly, quarterly and annual revenue reporting and analysis.
  • Oversee accrued and deferred revenues ensuring alignment with performance obligations.
  • Contribute to process improvements and ERP/system upgrades for revenue accounting.

Job's mission

As a Revenue Reporting Controller I, you will help ensure accurate, compliant, and insightful revenue reporting across ASM's global business. Working closely with Finance, Global Sales, Business Control, and Accounting teams, you will play an important role in supporting revenue recognition activities, driving process improvements, and helping the organization make informed business decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to ASM's SAP S/4HANA transformation while building scalable processes that support future growth.

This position will report to the Senior Manager of Finance Control and work very closely with the Corporate Director Global Sales and will support the Global Sales organization and play a central role into the Global Sales Finance department.

What you will be working on

  • Business Partnering with Finance (Accounts Receivable department) and Global sales to report monthly A/R status and drive more efficient / effective communications to enable minimal overdue accounts receivables.
  • Business Partnering with Global Sales, Global Sales Operations, Corporate Accounting and Business Control to analyze complex commercial deals to determine proper revenue recognition treatment.
  • Partner with Business Control and Finance to analyze and manage deferred revenues (Balance Sheet)
  • Conduct periodic revenue reconciliations, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation supporting revenue recognition policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to internal and external audit requirements.
  • Assist in ensuring the timely of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reporting and analysis.
  • Monitor and oversee accrued and deferred revenues, ensuring revenue recognition to the fulfilment of performance obligations.
  • Contribute to process enhancements, automation initiatives and operating finance system upgrades to streamline revenue accounting procedures.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations concerning revenue recognition, implementing best practices to ensure compliance with IFRS15 reporting.
  • Support and implement new business process flows when new business opportunities are identified by account team and marketing.
  • Communication & Coordination: Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.

What we are looking for

Minimum CPA/ACCA/Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Minimum 6 years of experience in revenue accounting, financial reporting, or controllership.

Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition requirements.

Experience with SAP S/4Hana

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across different business functions.
