Equinor Contracts department provides contractual support to our crude oil and oil products trading activities on a global basis. The Contracts department consists of teams located in Norway, UK, USA and Singapore. This position is in Singapore.
Overview
The Position:
- Combine commercial knowledge with contracts expertise, prepare and issue physical and derivative sales and purchase contracts and confirmations related to sales,trading,and supply, for both Spot and Term contracts.
- Draft, review and negotiate, term deals and tenders, master agreements,confirmation notices and side letters directly with customers with an emphasis on negotiating terms and conditions that maximize value and mitigate contractual exposures to minimize profit leakage.
- Review 3rd Party terms and conditions and negotiate amendments as required to minimize contractual exposure and ensure they are acceptable and comply with Equinor Group policy and standards and to ensure all contracts are fit for purpose prior to dispatch.
- Provide advice to trading, operations, and other departments in contract matters to secure sound resolutions of contractual disputes with counterparties, liaising with legal counsels as necessary.
- Preferable strong contractual expertise and knowledge in physical contracts across oil and oil products with specific focus on LPG and Light Ends (Gasoline and Gasoil).

- Minimum bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent, relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
- Proven experience in energy / commodity trading or shipping environment in a commercial, operational, legal or paralegal / contract administration role.
- Strong commercial skills with strong corporate and/or transactional experience.
- Is meticulous, highly organized with a keen eye for details and able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment with the ability to work both independently and as a team, ability to prioritize workload and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Must be fluent in English (verbal and written). Fluent spoken and written Mandarin is an added.
- Excellent communicationskills, with ability to converse at all levels within the organization.
