Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore is seeking a Contracts Officer (Construction) to oversee commercial and contractual aspects related to contracts and subcontracts. The role involves managing risks, providing support throughout the project lifecycle, and ensuring effective contract management. Ideal candidates will have a degree in the Built Environment and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Our client is a leading construction company with expertise spanning marine, land civil engineering, and building construction. They are seeking a Contracts Officer (Construction) responsible for overseeing commercial and contractual aspects related to main contracts and subcontracts, and managing commercial and contractual risks for projects.

Reporting to: Project Manager and/or Department Head

Responsibilities
  • Provide contractual support to projects through all stages: construction, subcontracting, completion, and handover.
  • Continuously review and improve processes, systems, and policies to support effective contract management and administration.
  • Manage contractual claims, disputes, settlements, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, exercising strategic and critical thinking in decision‑making.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to support project objectives.
