A leading recruitment agency in Singapore seeks a Contracts Manager to lead contract management activities and safeguard contractual rights. The ideal candidate should have a Professional Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Law, alongside 10-15 years of relevant experience in the engineering or construction industry, ensuring compliance with legal policies and optimizing project margins.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in the engineering or construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the works in accordance with Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide the principal contract support and lead all contract management activities for the Project.
  • Protect and pursue interests and contractual rights.
  • Maintain liability exposure under strict control.
  • Track any risks and pursue opportunities to increase the project profit margin.
  • Support various departments to ensure legal and risk management policy compliance.
  • Ensure efficient operational running of the department including project budgeting and processing of claims.
  • Prepare, draft and review various types of construction contract agreements.
  • Call and award subcontracts works and materials supply ensuring compliance with procurement procedures.
  • Manage post-contractual matters and ensure contracts deliver cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage variation orders and extensions for ongoing projects including claims and amendments.
  • Oversee the issue of purchase orders and sub-contractors’ payments.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

  • Up till $9000 basic + variable bonus
  • Working location: Boon Lay
  • Working Days/Timings: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm
Roles & Responsibilities

In accordance with the industry’s best practices and policies, the Contracts Manager is responsible to assess and control commercial and contractual risk, ensuring all contractual documents are adequately protective of and that change management and claims opportunities are maximised to advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the works in accordance with Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide the principal contract support and lead all contract management activities for the Project.
  • Protect and pursue interests and contractual rights.

  • Track any risks and track/pursue opportunities in view of consolidating and increasing the project profit margin.
  • Providing support to various departments ensuring obligations entered by company is consistent to its legal and risk management policies.
  • Efficient operational running of a department which includes project budgeting, processing of claims, payment and settlement of final accounts as well as proper documentation.
  • Preparing drafting and reviewing various types of construction contract agreements.
  • Call and award subcontracts works, material & services supply and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
  • Manage post contracts contractual matters and ensuring that all contracts deliver the most cost-effective solution.
  • Manage variations orders and extension of the Time for on-going projects including claims and amendments.
  • Oversee the issue of purchase orders and work orders and sub-contractors’ payment.
  • To perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.
