About the role

As a Contracts Manager at Quek Hock Seng Construction Pte Ltd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the contractual aspects of the company's construction projects. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This is a full-time position and offers the opportunity to work in an innovative and dynamic construction firm.

What you'll be doing

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of construction contracts and related legal documents
• Monitoring and enforcing contract compliance among all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Identifying and mitigating contractual risks, and implementing appropriate risk management strategies
• Providing expert advice and guidance to project managers and other team members on contractual matters
• Tracking and reporting on contract performance, and recommending improvements to contract management processes
• Collaborating with the legal and finance teams to ensure the timely processing of contract-related payments and claims
• Staying up-to-date with changes in construction industry regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 10 years of experience in contracts management, preferably within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction contract types, legal principles, and best practices
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in contract drafting, review, and interpretation
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with construction industry regulations and compliance requirements
• Degree in Law, Engineering, or a related field
