Job summary

A leading IT services provider is seeking a Contract Systems Analyst to administer and support OA and file server infrastructure, providing 7/24 technical support for Windows and Linux servers for the Hong Kong Police Force. Ideal candidates will possess solid experience in IT infrastructure, including server virtualization and security technologies, alongside excellent troubleshooting skills. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and at least 7 years' relevant experience are required.

Project Nature (T26) Provide administration and support for OA and file server infrastructure in Windows and Linux servers and Video Conference System in Hong Kong Police Force

Duties

• Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKPF.
• Responsible for the design, implementation, rollout, administration and support for OA and file server with related hardware and software, including Linux server, Windows server and hypervisor.
• Responsible for infrastructure, and product / solution evaluation & recommendation, migration strategy and implementation procedure for OA and file server infrastructure with necessary server hardware and/or software.
• Responsible for the administration, maintenance and support for the video conference (VC) system including but not limited to the setup and configuration of VC smartboard, mobile applications and servers.
• Responsible for the administration, maintenance and support for the NetApp storage, SafeGuard LANCrypt and Datadvantage for over a thousand of end users in HKPF.
• Provide technical support and guidance to new office sites deployment with the involvement OA and file server and all other necessary server appliances.
• Maintain system security by noticing faults and vulnerabilities and facilitate external/internal security auditing.
• Respond to help desk request and provide 7 x 24 technical support.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge and experience in the implementation and support of IT Infrastructure on Windows server platform including virtualization.
• Strong hands-on experience in NetApp, SafeGuard LANCrypt and Datadvantage on operational and security aspects.
• Strong experiences and knowledge on Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructure.
• Solid and hands-on implementation experience for new office sites.
• All-rounded experience Windows Servers, including but not limited to general operation and OS version upgrade on Windows Servers.
• Knowledge and experience in Linux-based server and Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) is a Plus.
• Experience on using common Linux-based scripting languages, e.g. shell script, python is an advantage.
• Security vetting is required.

Technical Skills

• At least 6 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT).
• At least 6 years' experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12).
• At least 5 years' experience in Microsoft Active Directory Administration (ADA).
• At least 5 years' experience in Data Encryption Technology (DET).
• At least 5 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF).
• At least 2 years' experience in Video Conference Technology (VCT).
• 1 year's experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS) is an advantage.
• 1 year's experience in Linux System Administration (LIN) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills

• At least 6 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV).
• At least 6 years' experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT).

- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; - At least 10 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 7 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
