Job Description:

Summary:

Our client is searching for Quantity Surveyor that will lead all costs and contractual issues for high-end landed projects (within the Main Contract and any sub-contracts). This includes pre and post contractual duties, from tender preparation to contractual claims management. Qualified candidates will be considered for a Contract Manager role, where they will have to source for deals alongside with directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-contract functions involving estimation of project costs, cost planning and control, preparation of tender documents, value engineering exercise, contract documentation and other pre-contract related activities
  • Seek tender opportunities and oversee the tenders for new project alongside leadership
  • Post-contract functions involving progress payment valuation and recommendation, valuation of variations, settlement of variation claims with contractors, settlement of final account and other post-contract related activities
  • Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget
  • Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, and contractors
  • Able to share new perspectives on cost, orders and claims
  • Attend technical meetings to keep abreast of design development issues and provide cost escalation alerts

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience
  • Candidate must have minimum 5 years experience working with a Main Contractor on private residential projects
  • Proficiency in Mandarin required in liaising with subcontractors and vendors
  • Qualifications in Engineering or Quantity Surveying required
