Responsibilities
- Lead the post-contract administration process for civil, piling, ground engineering projects, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Review, interpret, and negotiate contract terms, conditions, and variations in accordance with company policies and relevant contract law.
- Provide contractual and legal advice to project and management teams to minimize commercial risks and safeguard company interests.
- Draft and review letters, notices, and correspondence relating to contractual issues, extensions of time (EOT), and claims.
- Monitor project progress and commercial performance to identify potential risks or disputes early.
- Manage change orders, variations, and claims in line with contractual procedures.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and external legal advisors on contractual and commercial matters.
- Ensure all documentation, records, and communications comply with contractual and legal requirements.
- Support internal audits, dispute resolution, and contract close-out processes.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of contract management procedures, templates, and best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contract administration or commercial management within construction or infrastructure-related works.
- Strong working knowledge of contract law, SIA, PSSCOC, FIDIC, and other standard forms of contract.
