Responsibilities
- Review and interpret contracts and subcontracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Maintain proper records of contract documents, correspondence, and variations.
- Support procurement and subcontractor appointment in accordance with contract requirements.
- Provide guidance to Quantity Surveyors on cost management, contract interpretation, and claim preparation.
- Mentor QS teams to strengthen contractual and commercial awareness.
- Negotiate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on claims, variations, and disputes.
- Train and guide project teams on contractual awareness and best practices.
- Ensure contractual obligations are clearly understood and fulfilled across all projects.
- Manage claims, disputes, and contractual conflicts effectively.
- Perform any other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in contract management, preferably in construction projects (e.g. HDB or other public sector projects).
- Proven experience handling contracts, subcontracts, claims, variations, and disputes.
- Strong background in cost management and contract administration.
- Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
