KPMG Singapore seeks Cybersecurity professionals to support clients in incident response, threat hunting, and cyber risk management within a global professional services firm.
Your role
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with KPMG cyber security subject matter experts to design, implement, test, and support cybersecurity solutions for clients.
- Assist engagement managers in log analysis, endpoint data review to identify anomalies, indicators of compromise (IOCs), malicious files, and threat actors to determine root cause and incident impact.
- Support containment and eradication efforts during cyber incidents.
- Document findings and contribute to incident response update calls.
- Collaborate with other cyber teams to deliver end-to-end incident response and recovery, including Cyber OT/IoT security services such as risk assessment, VAPT, OT cybersecurity audit, and maturity assessment.
- Assist senior team members with preparation of playbooks, Table-Top Exercise (TTX) materials, and business proposals.
About you
The company is looking for candidates who meet the following:
- Degree in Cybersecurity / Information Security; OR Engineering with relevant skills/experience/aptitude; OR Computer Science / IT with relevant skills/experience/aptitude.
- Understanding of core cybersecurity principles including threat vectors, vulnerabilities, and defense mechanisms.
- Awareness of standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SANS PICERL model.
- Familiarity with Windows artifacts, endpoint logs, network device logs; forensic triage experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with incident response lifecycle and ability to support containment and recovery efforts.
- Ability to contribute to incident reports, playbooks, and TTX reports.
- Programming skills preferred.
- Strong understanding of Operating Systems – Windows, Linux, Mac – and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google) preferred.
- Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CHFI, CEH or mid-level GIAC certifications desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for documentation and client interaction.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and client-focused mindset.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in cybersecurity through continuous learning and research.
