Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Singapore is seeking Graduate Associates for its Actuarial Services team. You will conduct actuarial audits, perform valuation tasks, and engage in advisory work for insurance clients. Job description

KPMG Singapore seeks Graduate Associates for its Actuarial Services team to deliver advisory and audit services in the insurance sector.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Participate in actuarial audits and advisory work for general insurance clients including direct insurers, reinsurers, and captives
  • Perform Certifying Actuary tasks such as reserve valuation and reviews, stress testing, capital adequacy analysis, and risk management assessments
  • Engage in Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) and due diligence projects
  • Build actuarial models to support decision making and analysis
  • Advise clients on insurance topics including accounting and regulatory changes, claims, pricing, reserving process optimisation, and market studies
  • Support business development initiatives by preparing proposals and presentations
About You

The company is looking for candidates who have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent numerical discipline
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly
  • Strong time management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Excel/VBA, SAS, SQL, and R is an advantage
  • Desire to pursue actuarial examinations with internationally recognised bodies such as CAS, IFOA, or Actuaries Institute of Australia
