Responsibilities
- Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Plan and supervise the construction of vehicular structures and roads, including managing stage diversions.
- Perform quality control inspections and resolve on‑site issues promptly.
- Prepare progress reports, maintain detailed project records, and manage documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, city planners, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure optimal working conditions for construction personnel and enforce safety standards.
- Evaluate environmental impacts of projects and propose improvements.
Job Requirements
- Education: Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: At least five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD skills are preferred.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Personal Traits: Self‑motivated, dynamic, and goal‑oriented individual capable of working independently.
- Availability: Able to start work within a short period and handle project demands.
Working Conditions
Civil Engineer will primarily work on‑site at construction locations. This role demands physical presence at field sites to supervise activities and ensure compliance with project plans.
Additional Responsibilities
- Cost Control Monitor and control costs related to materials and labor to ensure budget compliance.
- Engineering Deliverables Coordinate and review engineering deliverables to maintain project quality and standards.
- Site Meetings and Inspections Attend site meetings, conduct inspections, and monitor project progress with main contractors and subcontractors.
- Stakeholder Coordination Liaise and coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, local authorities, environmental agencies, and federal entities to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Daily Operations Management Manage daily operations related to project execution.
- Problem Solving Address construction‑related challenges efficiently and effectively.
- Quality Assurance Act as the quality control representative to ensure project objectives are met according to standards.
- Documentation Management Ensure all project‑related paperwork is properly maintained and kept up‑to‑date.
- Safety Compliance Implement safe work procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Legal Knowledge Be familiar with relevant legal requirements related to construction projects.
- Ad‑Hoc Duties Perform other duties as assigned by the management or Project Manager.
