Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while serving as the central point of coordination for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Project Lifecycle Management: Take ownership of projects from initiation to closeout, controlling budget, schedule, and quality.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between clients, design consultants, subcontractors, and internal site teams to ensure clear communication and smooth workflow.
- Planning & Risk Management: Create, monitor, and update project master schedules. Anticipate potential delays or issues and execute corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Compliance & Safety: Guarantee all site activities comply with statutory building regulations, mandatory safety requirements, and necessary authority approvals.
- Technical Review & Problem-Solving: Scrutinize project drawings and documents, identifying and resolving technical conflicts with efficient, buildable solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Perform routine site inspections to monitor work progress and ensure adherence to approved materials, methods, and specifications.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project costing, track variations, approve subcontractor payments, and optimize the allocation of labor and materials.
- Reporting: Compile accurate and timely progress reports, RFIs, and other documentation for management and client review.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma.
- Experience: At least 8 years of progressive experience in construction project management. Direct experience in A&A and private residential (landed house) projects is highly advantageous.
- Competencies:
- Strong leadership with decisive problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of construction sequences, local building codes, and safety management systems.
- Expertise in subcontractor coordination and contract administration.
- Competent in using MS Project for scheduling and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication.
Remuneration
Remuneration: A monthly salary of SGD 5,000 to 6,500 will be offered commensurate with experience.
