Evolute - Executive Search in Singapore is recruiting for a Compliance Officer on behalf of a Singapore-headquartered asset management firm. Based in Singapore, you will own end-to-end third-party KYC onboarding, perform risk-based due diligence, and ensure robust MAS-compliant controls.
You will work closely with senior leadership, boards, and committees to implement scalable processes, including investor onboarding and AML/CFT procedures, while leveraging AI-driven workflows to streamline
We are proud to be partnering with our client, a Singapore-headquartered asset management firm with global reach. Combining institutional-grade governance, the organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth. This is an opportunity to hire a Compliance Officer—a hands-on, solutions-oriented compliance professional who will help build scalable processes from the ground up while holding the line on regulatory standards.
Based in Singapore and reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in the organisation’s multi-jurisdictional compliance programme. You will take ownership of vendor, supplier and counterparty KYC onboarding as onboarding volumes increase significantly across the Group’s development platforms, ensuring that commercial momentum is supported by robust, well-documented due diligence. The scope also involves investor onboarding and the day-to-day operation of the organisation’s MAS fund management compliance framework, offering close exposure to senior leadership, boards and committees.
In this role, you will own end-to‑end third‑party KYC onboarding, performing risk‑based due diligence including ultimate beneficial ownership verification, sanctions and PEP screening, adverse‑media checks and enhanced due diligence, while operating and improving World‑Check screening workflows and embedding compliance clearance into the Group’s contract approval processes. You will support investor onboarding and ongoing AML/CFT due diligence, including investor classification under the SFA, source‑of‑funds and source‑of‑wealth checks, and FATCA/CRS. A key part of the role will involve helping implement and maintain the MAS compliance framework for a licensed fund management company. Beyond this, you will prepare clear compliance management information for senior management and boards, support policy simplification and practical compliance training, and drive pragmatic process improvements, including the responsible use of AI and workflow automation.
The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years of relevant compliance experience, including meaningful hands‑on experience at a MAS‑licensed fund manager, ideally a CMS‑licensed asset or alternative investment manager. A recognised AML/compliance qualification such as CAMS or the ICA Diploma is required. You will have demonstrated ownership of high‑volume third‑party onboarding, investor KYC/AML, beneficial ownership analysis and World‑Check (or comparable) screening, including complex cross‑border escalations. Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted workflow and automation tools is strongly preferred.
All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
