POINT72 ASIA (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Compliance Officer in Singapore to support Canvas FRG and collaborate with US/UK teams as we expand in Asia.

The role focuses on liaison with Canvas Research Analysts, onboarding due diligence, and ensuring adherence to regional regulations while maintaining high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of compliance experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of MAS and other Asia regulatory environments.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin due to coverage.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Highly organized, process driven, and structured with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities under pressure, prioritize tasks and see each through to completion.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact for compliance related items for Canvas Research Analysts in Asia.
• Chaperone consultant calls for Canvas Research Analysts and document accordingly.
• Monitor and notate chaperoned calls in the proprietary compliance management system and track coverage.
• Conduct onboarding due diligence of new consultants to Canvas FRG, LLC and annual re-reviews.
• Monitor communications between Canvas Research Analyst interactions with discretionary investment professionals.
• Facilitate quarterly invoicing and payment with the Finance department in compliance with applicable data privacy law.
• Participate in insider dealing/insider trading issues training for Canvas Research Analysts.
• Brainstorm and implement ideas for enhancing compliance oversight and more efficient processes.
• Monitor and stay current on applicable regional laws, regulatory initiatives, and case law in Asia jurisdictions.
• Recommend and draft enhancements to existing policies and procedures.

What you’ll do
