Job Description
HLG WAREHOUSE PTE. LTD. is looking for a Compliance Management Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s operations, processes and documentation comply with local regulations, internal policies, and industry standards. The role includes:
- Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies and procedures related to warehouse operations, supply chain, export/import, safety, regulatory requirements and company-wide governance.
- Monitor and audit internal operations, record keeping, inventory control, export/import paperwork, customs compliance, licensing, and trade-related documentation to ensure full compliance with Singapore laws and regulations.
- Liaise with relevant government agencies, regulatory bodies and internal departments to ensure compliance requirements are met for all business activities.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and periodic reviews; identify potential risks or non-compliances and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide compliance training and guidance to staff; ensure employees understand and adhere to compliance requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes affecting warehouse, logistics, supply-chain, export/import, trade compliance, and ensure company policies are updated accordingly.
- Prepare reports and documentation for audits, regulatory inspections or licensing applications; ensure records are complete and organized.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (in law / business administration / supply-chain / logistics / compliance / related field preferred).
- Strong understanding or experience with regulatory compliance, trade-compliance, warehouse & logistics operations, import/export procedures, documentation and audit practices.
- Attention to detail, strong organisational and record-keeping skills; ability to develop, implement and monitor compliance procedures.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills; ability to liaise internally and externally (e.g. government agencies, customs, regulatory bodies).
- Proactive risk-awareness, analytical mindset, integrity and professionalism.
- Preferably prior experience in warehousing, logistics, supply-chain compliance, export/import compliance or related industries.
- Good command of English (written and spoken); ability to draft compliance policies, reports and documentation in English.
