Job summary

Cornerstone Global Partners in Singapore seeks a Compliance Director to lead the group-wide compliance function, shaping regulatory oversight across payments, data protection, and related governance. You will partner with management to ensure adherence to laws, standards, and internal policies.

You will drive PDPA data protection programs, build policies covering PSA, sanctions, AML, and anti-bribery, and provide strategic guidance to business units while mentoring the team.

Qualifications

• Min 8 years in regulatory compliance with team management experience.
• Demonstrated depth in data protection/PDPA.
• Exposure to banking or fintech environments, ideally with MAS liaison experience.
• Working knowledge of PSA, PDPA, sanctions, AML and anti-bribery frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical business guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Compliance function group-wide, setting direction and mentoring the team.
• Champion data protection governance, owning PDPA compliance frameworks and embedding privacy-by-design across business units.
• Build and maintain compliance policies covering PSA, sanctions, AML, and anti-bribery requirements.
• Assess emerging regulatory risk and translate findings into board-ready reporting.
• Advise business and management teams on compliance and data protection matters as a trusted subject-matter expert.
• Design and deliver compliance and data protection training to build organisation-wide awareness.
• Embed compliance and privacy risk assessments early into cross-functional projects.
• Close control gaps by designing and implementing targeted remediation measures.

Our client is a well-established, publicly listed organisation in Singapore with diversified business operations, seeking a Compliance Director to strengthen regulatory oversight as it navigates an evolving payments and data protection landscape.

Role & Responsibilities

This is a senior, group-wide compliance leadership role, partnering directly with business and management teams to ensure operations meet all applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.

The Compliance Director will head the Compliance function, with a strong emphasis on data protection governance under the PDPA and payments compliance under the PSA, while shaping the Group's broader compliance culture. The role carries both strategic oversight and hands-on advisory responsibility.
