About the Role

Pro Bono SG is inviting passionate lawyers to join us as a Community Law Fellow — a unique opportunity to use your legal skills to help individuals in Singapore who cannot afford a lawyer and facilitate access to justice.

As a Fellow, you’ll work full-time on meaningful community law matters including family, civil, and Syariah cases. You’ll be based at our Community Law Centres across Singapore, delivering critical legal services where they are needed most.

This Fellowship is ideal for lawyers who are committed to serving the community and are looking to develop themselves as well-rounded practitioners with expertise in family and related areas of law.

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal guidance to those in need at our Community Law Centres
  • Represent individuals who have been granted legal aid
  • Conduct interviews and assessments to determine aid eligibility
  • Work alongside social service professionals to provide integrated legal care
  • Receive mentorship from experienced Community Law Advocates and have access to guidance from senior members of the Bar
Qualifications
  • Called to the Singapore bar with 0 to 3 years PQE
  • Some experience in law or pro bono work
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving the community
  • Strong workload management skills
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and a reliable team player
  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
